By using ParentPayr, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use ParentPayr, we may collect information such as:

Co-Parenting Information

ParentPayr allows users to voluntarily submit and store information including:

ParentPayr organizes this information in a structured, time-stamped format to assist with personal recordkeeping, expense management, mediation, and legal preparation.

ParentPayr is not a government recordkeeping system, child support enforcement agency, or legal service provider. Acceptance of ParentPayr records or reports is determined by the applicable court, agency, or jurisdiction.

Usage Information

ParentPayr may automatically collect technical information such as:

4. Payment Information

ACH payments are processed through Straddle, ParentPayr's third-party ACH payment processor.

ParentPayr does not store:

  • Bank account numbers
  • Routing numbers
  • Online banking credentials
  • Bank authentication information used to authorize ACH transactions

ParentPayr stores only the limited payment metadata, Straddle-issued identifiers, and transaction information necessary to associate verified payment methods with customer accounts and support payment processing.

5. When We Share Information

ParentPayr does not sell personal information.

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate ParentPayr, including providers supporting:

  • ACH payment processing
  • Website and application hosting
  • Backup storage
  • Customer communications
  • Mobile application services
  • Analytics
  • Platform operations

These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their intended services.

ParentPayr may also disclose information when required by applicable law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process.

6. How We Protect Your Information

ParentPayr uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards appropriate to its production environment.

Examples include:

  • HTTPS with Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Strong authentication requirements
  • Multi-factor authentication for administrative systems where supported
  • Restricted production administrator access
  • Encrypted off-site production backups

Although ParentPayr takes reasonable steps to protect customer information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. File Uploads

Users may upload receipts and supporting documentation as part of the ParentPayr Services.

Uploaded documents are stored within ParentPayr's production environment and included in encrypted off-site backups.

Access may be available to:

  • The account owner
  • Authorized co-parents
  • Authorized ParentPayr administrators when necessary to provide support, investigate reported issues, or maintain platform operations

ParentPayr does not permit uploaded receipts or supporting documents to be used by third parties for advertising purposes.

8. Analytics

ParentPayr uses analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Services and to improve platform functionality, usability, and reliability.

Analytics information may include:

  • Screens visited
  • Device characteristics
  • Session duration
  • Feature usage
  • General platform performance

ParentPayr avoids sharing detailed co-parenting records, uploaded receipts, or similar user-generated content with analytics providers.

9. Data Retention

ParentPayr retains information according to its Data Retention Policy.

If you submit a verified account deletion request:

  • Your account will be disabled.
  • A 45-day recovery period will begin.
  • After the recovery period, eligible personal information will be permanently deleted or anonymized where practical.

Certain records may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, preserve financial records, investigate fraud, resolve disputes, maintain security, or enforce contractual rights.

10. Children's Privacy

ParentPayr is intended for use by adults. Individuals under thirteen (13) years of age may not create ParentPayr accounts.

ParentPayr does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under thirteen. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

11. Security Incidents

If ParentPayr becomes aware of unauthorized access to personal information, we will investigate the incident, take appropriate corrective action, and provide notifications where required by applicable law.
